Projects the Activities of DEAF LEADERS
Hope You aware that Deaf Empowerment Activities For b>Literacy, Education, Accessible Development, Employment, Rehabilitation & Sports of DEAF LEADERS is registered trust and a NGO initiated in March 2003 by K. Murali with the focused objective of contributing to the betterment and understanding of DEAF people in India. It strives for the integration and main streaming of DEAF persons by creating facilities for the utilization of their skills / abilities, to enable and empower them to lead more meaningful lives as full members of society. The LEADERS also make serious attempts to dispel some of the stereotyped images that the general public has of deaf persons and is a focused advocacy organization emphasizing the rights of deaf persons. Towards this the leaders are involved in a wide range of activities from publishing and higher education at university level to employment culture, recreation, legislation and human rights. The LEADERS believe that given the right opportunities at the right time, anything is possible. All it takes is an open mind.

Course Background
The National of India’s deaf community began in 2003 when the DEAF LEADERS (DL) in associated with support of All India Federation of the Deaf (AIFD). In 2007, after energetic requests from the DL through AIFD agreed to establish the World Federation of the Deaf Regional Secretariat in Asia and the Pacific (WFD RS A/P) in Japan. In 2007, we conducted the India Deaf Expo: An International Conference on Education & Technology in Deaf / Hard of Hearing in Coimbatore and attracted 400 participants from 20 states and 20 delegates from 8 countries. Those who attended this congress strongly called on India to provide societal and human resource related cooperation in their states and specifically requested seminar for personnel exercising a guiding function in the rehabilitation of the deaf. Mr. K. Murali , Director of DEAF LEADERS to attended the “GLOBAL LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR DEAF PERSONS” to be conducted by Japan Federation of the Deaf and Technical Corporation by the Government of Japan due on November 2007 and improved the image and quality of the Institution and Organization and Community In India. In the meantime, there would increase expectations concerned to the implementation of the proposal seminar in Delhi or Coimbatore. In order to meet such needs, this course will process established by DL in 2009, with the aim to transfer to states of the India the socials welfare system and rehabilitation knowledge for the deaf who will foster in India and to thus promote the increased self-support and social participation of the deaf. In order to extend their purposes to broader area in the word, this course will be open not only for states.

4) Analyze and compare the situation of Deaf people, community and organizations of India and participants states, and
5) Make the action plan to solve the problems which participants’ states /organizations are facing
